INPUT AND OUTPUT DEVICES

INPUT

Input is a mixture of two words first word is IN (which means inside ) and second word is PUT(put means keep). It means that put some data into the computer.

INPUT DEVICES

 Now, think how we can put the data? We can put the data with the help of some devices. These devices are called input devices.The result of the above lines is PUT some data IN to  the  with the help of input devices this process is called input.

Now Think of such an angle from which we can put data into the computer

1.Keyboard

Now you have to ask how keyboard is an input device? Let me explain with the help of keyboard we can type the letters, numbers, Special symbol. Type we touch keyboard button that button printed in the computer screen. It means that the keyboard is an input device.

2. Mouse

Now you have to ask how mouse is an input device? Let me explain with the help of mouse we can open any application/software we are giving instructions to the computer. Basically mouse is a pointing device. A mouse has three buttons. 1.Left click 2.scroll bar 3. Right click.

Left click: Mostly we use left click to open any software for example ms-pain, ms-word etc.

Scroll bar: Mainly we use this button to see the page head and bottom. It is used to switch from one page to another page.

Right click: Rarely we use right click. Right click is used to find the property of any software.

3. Scanner

Now think about it what is the work of scanner. Scanner is used to scan photo, signature etc. With the help of scanner we are putting some data(photo and signature) into the computer so, scanner is an input device.

OUTPUT

Output is the opposite process of Input. Output is a mixture of two words first word is OUT (which means Result ) and second word is PUT(put means keep). It means that produce some data(result) from the computer.

OUTPUT DEVICES

 Now, think how we can produce the data? We can produce the data with the help of OUTPUT devices.

Output means produce some output results with the help of some devices. These devices are called output devices.

1.Monitor

Now think about it how monitor can be a output device. Now you have to think what is the work of the monitor. Yes you right whatever we type(input data) print in the monitor. It means that monitor is producing output result so, it is a output device. Monitor look like television.

2.Speaker

Speaker is also a output device because the voice come out from the speaker with the help of computer so, computer is a output device.

3.Printer

Printer is also a output device because it print the data on a paper. There are three types of printers.

1.Inkjet printer 2.line printer 3.dot-matrix printer 4.Duplicator printer.
